  • Copper-based alloy mainly composed of Copper (Cu), Tin (Sn), and Zinc (Zn).
  • Also known as a type of Bronze alloy.
  • Excellent corrosion resistance, especially in water and marine environments.
  • Good castability and pressure tightness.
  • High strength and durability.
  • Good wear resistance and anti-friction properties.
  • Excellent machinability.
  • Suitable for steam and water applications.
  • Good resistance to rust and dezincification.

Typical Chemical Composition (Standard Grade)

  • Copper (Cu): 85–88%.
  • Tin (Sn): 5–7%.
  • Zinc (Zn): 3–5%.
  • Lead (Pb): 3–5%.

Mechanical Properties (Approx.)

  • Tensile Strength: 250 – 350 MPa.
  • Good pressure handling capacity.
  • Moderate hardness with excellent sealing properties.
